NEW friends....

Here are some new friends I'm hoping to introduce soon at Open Door Baptist Church. We will be away for the next 2 weeks so I'll have to wait!

As can be seen, these friends are called "dress me puppets" found at Scott's Parables here in Saskatoon at the low price of $31.99 and the suit to change over to the opposite sex is only $14.99 ~ isn't that a great price.

Kasha & I are excited to start this new ministry in the church. Please help us pray for the few young children in our tiny assembly to be stirred up to be regular attendies in Sunday School class.

It is HOTTTTT ~whew~

It is 7:05 pm and the temperature is 34 and feels like 44... I can't believe I fell into the trap but I did and I'm not sorry yet! I'd noticed after winter was over I saw something strange in alot of windows. I thought it looked really tacky! Well, here it is...

Yep, I put foil in my windows ~ oh, no one can know how hot we are and it really does reflect the sun away. Our windows are not the kind that we can even consider an air conditioner. I was certain after the heat last night, I could convince my husband to buy one. He knew all along that we couldn't ~ he already considered...

I wonder how long I can live with it!

Plans for tonight ~ since I can't sleep, I took a night shift at the home! Cliffton has set up the blow up mattress in the basement and Kash seems to weather the HOT nights better than we...

Friends from NB...

This is our friends, the Patterson's at the Vimy Ridge memorial bandstand in S'toon, SK.

This is Bryan and Evelyn Patterson from Maces Bay. They were passing thru S'toon and we had a great time at dinner at Sardinia's and then we walked and had a great time of fellowship on the Saskatchewan River.

And, look the pelicans were real close today.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord...

I've have been wanting to sing with my daughter what seems like forever. Church seems like the best place to do it.

I heard a lady give testimony to the fact that she's not the best singer but she absolutely loves to sing in church and felt convicted to share her love for song with others. She used all the verses that would be used on all of us, who are on the lower end of talent scale. Well, I heard her sing that day and it was lovely...

It was a Lady's Retreat at what is now known as Jone's Lake Baptist Church. We had not only special music, but a dinner, some crafts and lots of speakers preaching God's word that day. It was way back in my early Christian life.

Many times I used that very woman's testimony to encourage others but never used it for myself. Well last Sunday, Kash, Sylvia W, & I sang "How can I fear". Kash sang another part, so it sounded pretty, even to the untrained ear. I really enjoyed that kind of ministry for the Lord and I hope we can do it again, soon.

Thank you, Lord ~ I'm glad singing is a grand part of worship!
