This is for you, Sara...

Just under 3 mins!

The girls! ;)

This is what I see on my walks...

This is after a fresh snowfall!

This is the snowmobile trail ~ the government/town keeps them clear...

I could picture these scenes in my mind as I lived in S'toon.

I'm thankful that the Lord brought us safely back to NB.

Ahhh... NB is beautiful!
Don't you think so? ;)

I'm gaining some ground...

And shedding some pounds ~ 2 to be exact! I know it doesn't seem like much but if I don't see something, I may give up... So, I'm looking and counting every lb lost!

I've been trying to refuse more and more treats even when I'm alone and they are the tough times... REALLY!

And I got Maisy to keep me faithful in walking ~ when she was real young, she wouldn't go very far and I was really getting discouraged, so I bought a mini trampoline at Walmart for $29.99. I bounce, jump, and do random exercise on it for about 30-45 mins. Maisy is growing now ~ and on nice days, I can take her farther but then there are those cold ones...

Yes, I thought of that ~ a sweater!

Since Maisy doesn't have a lot of fur I bought her a sweater... yeah, she just looked at me as if to say "everyone will make fun of me, I'm gonna be the laughing stock of all of Woodstock".

I'm glad I didn't pay too much for the sweater ~ you know I priced a hockey jacket at the pet store and it was $100 plus applicable taxes? and a Roots sweater marked down to $56 plus taxes.

I'm glad I have my trusty trampoline (which Kash likes too).. ~wink~

So ~ stay tuned, I'd like to lose a few pounds but 2-5 is nice for now! It's encouraging, REALLY!

***Here is what I'm trying to remember ~ Over indulging is a sin just like gossip, lying, stealing... Shall I go on?***

Some Unfinished Business!

I have a fecebook friend that keeps in contact from time to time and she had what she called UFO's (Un~Finished Objects) and posted one that she intented to finish. Unlike me, she wants to finish so she can get busy doing another, as she put it, nicer one; although her UFO is pretty, she's probably sick of looking at it. Maybe that is what happens to me. This is the first of many...

This is the biggest cross stitch I have going and most likely, the littlest (if that's a word) to do on it! ~ugh~ I started this when I was unmarried and was contemplating a few changes to suit... It's size is about 10x13. This pattern is Janet Landry's and at times I wonder if she remembers lending it to me. I had it since 1993, ~gasp~ I think and I'm not kidding. My pup at that time chewed the corners and that was my reason for not giving it back. ~blush~ I just won bidding on that same pattern last night on EBay ~ it's on the way!

($3.25 ~ incase you're wondering) ~wink~

Here is the next largest one ~ maybe fitting into an 8x10 frame and very little to do on it. I think just the border has to be done and it's so simple, I'm ashamed of myself when I look and see how little has to be done on it...

I think this one is finished but I'd have to look real close. I picked the next few because I thought if I chose something a bit smaller, I would finish it... Oh, so not true! It is about 5x7...

I did something on this that I don't like so it's not done...

This is a music sign I designed so I could do something special for Kash someday ~ nope, didn't get to that, either...

This one is real tiny and well...

I made these with scraps ~ I was really desparate for smaller things and still all these need is a magnet... What is wrong with me????

More scraps...
A honey bee ~ something else for Kasha

This might be 5x7 and it's almost completed...
~sigh~
And finally, something I started in S'toon to try to get back into the groove so I lied to myself... These are just a few of my projects. I have bought stuff for stamping, cards, crotcheting, knitting and basically whatever happens to come down the pipe. Needless to say, I can't go to Michael's... It justs cost me alot of $$$, grief and disappointment. ~ugh~
Any suggestions that won't hurt too bad???
My facebook friend, Dawn has challenged me and I'm working on the Virtuous Woman ~ Proverbs 31... I'll post my progress a little later! ~wink~

Baby, it's cold out side...

It was -29 when I got up to stay up and it was colder earlier in the morning when Cliffton left. I have put Maisy out by herself the odd time when I didn't think I'd get my boots on fast enough for her... ~blush~ And she's always gone to the yard to pee but today, it was just too cold ~ she did her business on the deck! ~ugh~

I wanted to get upset, but it's hard ~ she's so cute and a very good dog most times so I let it slide... It's sooooo cold out there! It has however, warmed up to a balmy -16 now at 12:24pm as I blog!

Just look at her ~ and have I mentioned, she's made her way to the new sofa??? Well, her time there is resticted but... she's made it!

Aw, Maisy ~ what a walking companion she is too, if I forgot to mention! ~wink~

Rules for Daily Living in the New Year...

Rules for Daily Living in the New Year

Begin each day with God, Kneel down to Him in prayer, Lift up your heart to His abode, and seek His love to share.

Open the book of God, and read a portion there, that it may hallow your thoughts, and sweeten all your care.

Go through the day with God, whate’er your work may be, wherever you are, at home or abroad, He still is near to thee.

Converse in mind with God, your sins to Him confess, trust in the Lord’s atoning blood, and plead His righteousness.

Lie down at night with God, Who gives His servants sleep, and when you tread the vale of death, He will you guard and keep.
I found this on the back of my church bulletin and thought it was worth sharing ~ no name with it... Enjoy the clean slate with all of it's opportunities in 2008!

Happy New Year ~ 2008

I heard a couple of things in the Sunday service this week.
First of all, I heard that Jesus went to the cross not for my benefit only, but He went to demonstrate his love and obedience to the Father... Really, we know these things but sometimes, it seems like it's the first time you've ever heard it.
...then I heard that Jesus' time with us was limited and yet, the Holy Spirit has no limit on His time to work with us, if we but surrender.
It is my hope & prayer that in the year 2008, I allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in me.
Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him... Ps 2:12b
