The Question of the Day...

A Gift from the Heart...

Here is a beautiful bouquet that my friend, Sherry L sent for our 10th anniversary. Sherry stood up for us and Calvin was supposed to but had to move away earlier than expected. John L stepped in and we were so grateful.

Sherry has always been so wonderful to me. I really appreciate her in the Lord ~ God gives good friends. Now that the nice weather is here, we are going to visit the mountains soon!

Sherry looked gorgeous, I wished I could share pics but I blogged once before that Ihave lost my wedding pics in one of our many moves.

I have to admit, I thought they were from my husband. Only the day before did I question him about whether he remembered or not... He did almost forget! ~gasp~

Well, here is one of them...

Did you ever talk to God above?
Tell Him that you need a friend to love?
Pray in Jesus' name believing God answers prayer?
Have you told Him all your cares and woes?
Every little tiny fear He knows...
You can know He'll always hear and He will answer prayer.
You can whisper in a crowd to Him.
You can cry when your alone to Him.
You don't have to pray out loud to Him; He knows your thoughts.
On a lofty mountain peak, He's there.
In a meadow by a stream, He's there.
Anywhere on earth you go, He's been there from the start.
Find the answer in His word, it's true.
You'll be strong because He walks with you.
By His faithfulness He'll change you, too ~ God answers prayer.
I heard this song sung at a campfire at the Hunters by Melanie and Trena L and Sara F years ago. I thought it was beautiful ~ thanks, ladies for the nice memory and thank you, Lord for the appreciation for songs with truths about you!

Happy 25th B'day, Lance...

Lance with his new vehicle ~ chevy tracker.

You were a cool dude, even at 3 yrs old! ~wink~
Hope you have a great day and as soon as you get in from AB, we'll have a celebration ~ yellow cake with chocolate frosting and a special dinner! Love ya, Fella!

The wedding song...

Before the world began, our union was His plan...
Our lonely days are over, I will stay with you.

For we will stay together, pray together...

And that is all I know ~ can someone out in cyberland help me? I'd love to purchase this song or have music and lyrics to have Kash play or sing it for me... Thnx! oX's

Happy B'day to Daryl & Todd..

My two brothers had b'days just these past few days and I haven't had time to blog Happy B'day to them. I've been busy working a full time shift along side of another woman at work to get my clinical portion of my course done and it is almost done... ~whew~

But Daryl would have turned... Ummm, 40 yrs old this year ~ May 20th. ~wow~ I never thought that my little brother would turn 40 but it happens to all of us sooner or later. Happy B'day, Daryl! Hope you got my card... oX's

Then on the 22nd of May, Todd had his b'day and I can't say how old he is ~ just a minute and I'll get out a guessing calculator... He is.. 33 yrs old, I think! If I'm wrong, I'm certain someone will tell! Happy B'day, Todd ~ hope you had a great day... And I know you got your card ~ Aunt Linda told me. ~wink~ oX's

Daryl... at my wedding!

This is Todd ~ Keith is showing him how to run this machine! He's might be telling him how important it is to wear a helmet! ~wink~

Happy B'day to You...

Jungle Jim's with Ann...

Ann treated me to a wonderful place in Saint John and I had to blog it all by itself with pics and all. Here is what she ordered for us... Good thing she did 'cause I wouldn't have known what to order ~ I love spicy foods, so it was right up my alley.

Doesn't it look delic... Oh, it was! And then I'm always inclined to just drink water but I was convinced by not just Ann but the waitress that I should try the Smoothie (minus the alcohol, thank you) and it was most tasty. Then the dessert... My, my, my, it was good! The richest, most biggest pce of cheese cake ever, drizzled with a fruit sauce that was almost... yes, I said ALMOST impossible to eat all by yourself ~ but I managed! ~mmm~

Lance and his friends have gone out to Jungle Jim's plenty and would always comment on how much I would like it but really, I just never thought passed Subway... I know, I've got to get out more, right?

Ann, I want to say 'thanks' for that experience ~ it was great and your company to go with was the real dessert! I really liked spending time with you!

Do you know the lyrics...

Did you ever talk to God above?

Tell Him that you a friend to love?

Pray believing...

I can't sing it 'cause that's all I know. If you know the lyrics, will you fill me in? Humming the tune while I try to wait patiently. ~wink~

Also, a song sung at my wedding by the Turbett's...

We will stay together...

Pray together...

***hum this often too***

Anyone know that one? I think it was sung at Carolyn & Craig's wedding too.

Please help!!!!

Saint John NB...

Yeah, that's where I was for the entire month of April. It was great for about a week ~ the novelty soon wore off. I was so excited to see some friends and family but after two church services, I started to miss my husband and children in a bad way. Everyone was so sweet to constantly remind me of that fact by asking how they were... ???

The one thing I so looked forward to upon arriving in Saint John was the first church service I would attend at FBC. The congregational singing is a personal favorite ~ I can't wait to hear it in heaven 'cause privately, I've wondered how much better it could be... One of the first songs we sang was Cliffton's favorite ~ Look Ye Saints. Of course, I wished he was there!

And then there were all the invites... The Wallaces were so kind to pick me up at Moncton Airport and drive me to Westfield where they kept me for 2-3 nights, while Marilyn was at a Spa, and they even fed me, but that is not surprising to us, is it? The Hunters, the Lees, the Frasers, Sharon A, Ann B, the Beldings, the Wilson's, the Kyles, not only let me stay the entire month but they fed me and took me to a place out in the woods, yes, out in the woods ~ it was called Adair's Lodge and ~mmm~ was it good. They had mile high coconut cream pie... Ahhh, it was good! I do hope I haven't forgotten anyone...

I visited with Ruth R and planned to go again but the no car thingy, really took the joy and convenience out of it. I meant to see/visit alot of others but the bus/time thing just didn't always allow for it. I'm thankful for all I did get to see and do because of the generosity of others...

I got to go to the City Market and bought some dulse and ate the entire bag while I walked home to Gary and Marilyn's place on the West Side. It was a great walk. But it is sweet to be home with my Honey and daughter... ~sigh~

Oh, the reason for the trip???? Here it is ~ the HCA course at NBCC and my class picture...

10 Year Anniversary...

Yep, 10 yrs...
Lance & Kasha took us out to dinner tonight ~ it was great!
If there was anything I would want for, it would be my wedding pics which I lost in a move. Talked to the photographer, but she has never gotten back to us ~ maybe that is a hint that she hasn't kept them... ~sigh~
Oh well, I can praise the Lord for the 2-3 photos I do have! ~smile~

A Resume..?

I can't believe my daughter is old enough to have put a resume together for a part time job! Where has the time gone?

Happy Mother's Day...

Look at the beautiful head of hair and wouldn't you know, the boys all inherited it! So not fair...

My mother as a teenager!
Later, expecting Jason (5.5 months) ~ man, she was thin...

She's been gone along time ~ 32 yrs... I have to say, a day doesn't pass that I don't think/speak of Mom or Dad! I have memories that have lasted thus far, my life time and no doubt pass on thru Kasha and Lance.

I remember how much she liked to have fun! She was a bit fanatical about the house being clean and she loved to eat, boy, did she love to eat! She never missed any school concerts and did all she could to make sure we'd have something new to wear to make the moment special ~ I'm remembering a pair of black patent leather shoes I got at Calp's and I got a FREE Sesame Street LP with them. All of us listen to that for hours on end...

Ah, there are so many memories!
Happy Mother's Day!

Pastor Dave Coats...

...will turn 50 yrs this June.

Man, that doesn't seem possible. The guy who used to run with the teens, eat double decker pizza sandwiches.

I guess we all got it comin'!

Happy B'day, Pastor Dave!

THE New Coffee Table...

This is THE coffee table that I put on LayAway at the Brick. While I was in Saint John, my husband wanted to surprise me by having it in the house upon my return... Aw, isn't that sweet of him? ~sigh~

He paid the rest of the bill and all but I was expected home the 27th of April and the table wouldn't be here until the 30th. Well, the 30th came and went and still no table!

Cliffton called to see what the holdup was and the woman on the other end decided $50 back in our hands would look after our troubles. Well, okay ~ maybe we can wait a bit longer afterall, it's worth $50... ~sweet~
But then another week or more went by...

When we called this time, the table was out of stock! Is there something wrong with this picture? They didn't call us and are in possession of $$$ that is ours and the last table they planned to put in the clearance center.
This was a first and possibly last sale with the Brick ~ we'll see!
We rushed to the clearance center before someone else decided they liked it more than we did... The table was still set up with the sofa set where I picked it out with some minor bumps and scratches but it will get bumps and scratches at our place too.
So in the end we got the table (bumps and scratches ~ minor, don't forget) at 1/2 price with delivery included for free. God is so good!
PS ~ I saw this table at Pastor & Mrs Falconer's house and fell for it. Of course it looks a lot different in her place than here but I have my eye on a new sofa and that might make all the difference. I'm praying now to find the perfect sofa for the perfect price... And the Lord will deliver (for free too)! See, He is so good...
