This is me, the champion of the house. I gave him a chance to practice... he probably wishes he'd have taken me up on that.

;)

This is Paul & Lance havin' a go at it!

This is such a fun & active way to spend time ~ my muscles are so sore the next days to follow.

Anne, from Green Gables?

We did a bit of site seeing, after the wedding before dropping Kash off in M'ton. We had a great time then to M'ton and took the girl to Ponderosa for supper. She starts classes tomorrow; orientation day today (and she's texted me dozens of times). She had to go to the bank to let them know, she's a big girl now and needs to increase her limit allowable for withdrawls.

To the F'ton Farmer's Market for the 1st time...

Saturday, we ventured out as early as we could to the Fredericton Farmer's Market for the first time since we've moved to the area. I started 4 days off of work (and I will appreciate them greatly), Cliffton was just getting off nights (nope, I don't know how he does it) and Kasha.
We tried the samosas (not Dr Mohan's, who had a line up of about 100+ and I was warned) ~ we got spicy chicken, mild chicken and spicy beef (for me)... ~mmm~ We visited around and saw a number of things that dazzled our eyes and palates. Cliffton tried some pastries and I tried a smoked sausage (ready to go) and a pce of gouda spiced with onion and basil.

We bought a wooden Canadian flag to hang on the shed; it wasn't meant for the shed but it looks great, I think. See...

There was an alterior motive ~ I had to get started on my hunt for a dress for Lance and Melissa's wedding August 29th. Whatever will I do; I tried on 40+ dresses and have my choice whittled down to 2 choices. I never thought black would be appropriate for a wedding but the sales ladies are telling me it doesn't matter these days and there are limited quantities for colors at this time (black and white seem to be very popular). I tried two dresses with price tags suggesting prices in excess of $1300 marked down half price ~ can you imagine?

~eek~

But after all of that, with a confused mind, sore feet, etc we went to start on Cliffton's list at Walmart, Canadian Tire and Kent's. I found a deal in the garden center we hadn't ventured out for but it seemed to good to pass up. There at Kent's we found some reclining armchairs regularly priced at $85.99 marked down to $30 ea. I pointed them out to Cliffton (only 5 left) and he agreed, we were going to look for a few chairs to put on the new deck, although we hadn't budgeted for them, we bought two. Pretty, eh? We'll cut short in some other area, I'm sure! (maybe even my dress)

We had a great supper at home. Roasted pork loin, new potatoes, garlic peas with gravy. Now off to the restaurant up the road for a dessert and coffee.

Here, Dad looks on as Kasha finds her birthstone ring he picked out

and here, Dad gets to reap the benefits of his faithfulness in attendence at church services and in taking Kasha to music lessons (even when it hurt in more ways than one)

My Kasha is Graduating...

These are some of a few of Kasha's grad pics; I always promised her a poofy dress but in light of Lance and Melissa's wedding, it was looking pretty gloomy. But Laura W (now married) sold Kash her dress for $100. We're sure this dress was about $400-500 ~ what a blessing to get it for such a deal... we are praising God for Laura! ;)

Maisy, Maisy, Maisy...

Poor Maisy ~ she's afraid of anything she's not familiar with...

I had to beg him to buy this...

Cliff's new (second hand) toy; we got a really good deal. I had to beg him to buy this. He has wanted one forever and we've never been able to afford it. Okay, so we can't afford a new on, but a new to us one! ;)
we'll try to remember to take some pics!
He just doesn't seem to be able to stay away from it but I'm just as excited for him as he is! God is good!

Maisy is petrified of the bike and Cliffton is trying to sooth her; she has herself all worked up into a tizzy!

My mother's day gift from Lance; so pretty!

my card hung with he and Melissa's invitation; I keep it there to remeind me to pray for them, daily...

Happy 18th B'day, Kasha...

Why do our kids have to grow up?

I really don't want them to miss out on the great things God has in store for them as adults but I feel lonesome just thinking about the both of them gone...

Am I too selfish wanting them to stay small and needy?
Thank you, Lord, for the use of your children ~ You have used them to teach me many lessons, You used one to bless our home with the gospel and it's never been the same since. If they should get too independent, instead of calling home, I pray they learn to call on You ~ and Lord, I'm gonna need your help too! Help me to get busy serving You more so I'm not lonesome ~ for your name's sake, Amen!

Lance & Melissa...

I had the best b'day gift ever this year. On Valentine's Day I turned 46 but for the entire year, I told people I was turning 47. Imagine my surprise when I did the math at work and figured out I was only 46 ~ it felt like I had my clock turned back!
And then, I was leaving work ~ walking down the stairs, I got a text message from my son, Lance. He sent me a picture of a hand with a lovely diamond on it. Yes, he'd asked Melissa to marry him and she accepted.
I got a year and a daughter in law for my b'day! ;)

Day 3 of Cliffton's 4 days off...

this is how our day has been going...
here is our water supply the last few days...

for flushing

This is a Christmas gift for which I'm truly thankful for along with electricity, of course...

yep, a new submersible pump with a price tag of $500

My happy husband ~ okay so he's not thrilled, but he is thankful for Frank, an older electrician neighbor who has been helping for 2 days...

And finally, the CULPRIT/CULPRET...
(not sure of it's male or female) and that determines the spelling, I guess!
It's an old submersible pump that fell down the well and couldn't be retrieved so the well drillers drilled on down thru to submerge a pump that could be accessible. Up til now, this was just a story we heard ~ now, there is truth to it...
Cliffton pulled it up with every once of strength in him and even Frank was surprised at his strength ~ I'm not, I see it all the time ~blush~
So, now the $500 purchase was taken back to Home Hardware and the $ is back in the bank account!
~woohoo~
We're running water again!
And thankful for God's provision of strength, praying friends and answered prayer! ♥

Praising God for a wonderful husband & provider...

This is the sight I came upon after over an hour of silence and dozens of calls and quotes

Here is the open well casing

this is Cliffton hard at work to fix what needs to be fixed for his family

It was going to be $300 for someone to drive out to look and once they found the problem, $40/hr ~ maybe Cliffton should have taken plumbing instead of respiratory! :s

a torch ~ be careful!

And just before dark, we have water... ;)
Today, I'm catching up on laundry before going to work for four evenings.

And me, dirty hair and all ~ happy about the running water!
My God shall supply all your need, according to His riches in Christ Jesus!

I would share my pics if I could but for some unknown to me reason, I can't upload any of the pics even though I sized them down... :s
My husband was just about to leave for his night shift and while brushing his teeth, the water was down to a trickle and then without warning, it stopped all together!
Kash & I had a plan to go shopping with a couple of our gift cards rec'vd as Christmas gifts. We continued on our way, while Cliffton was pretty sure, we had a real problem on our hands... It was dark, so we couldn't look at things and double time for plumbers at 45 mins out of town seemed like it could wait til daytime.
I didn't have to work but I had to get up early ~ our new to us minivan has been given us trouble and we had an appt to bring it in. It was being left and Cliffton needed me to come to drive him home but not before removing some parts from down stairs (pump) to bring in with us.
These parts proved to be okay so off we drove to home with parts and a Tim's coffee in hand to see what else could be causing the "no water" situation.
I felt bad for Cliff, he still hadn't been to bed. :s And did I mention we are under a storm watch and the snow had already started to fall?
He worked at it all day ~ made a trip to Nackawic, got busy and sent me and Kash to Nackawic with a list and then just before dark and the freezing rain, we are proud to announce that after all his hard work and much prayer going on, we have water ~ dirty water but all the same, running water!
I'm very thankful to my Lord for providing a wonderful man that is always looking after his family!
